Abstract

Highlights: [•] Fe,Ni co-doped ZnO nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized by simple sol–gel route. [•] Structural and microstructural studies indicate a slight degradation in the crystalline structure with greater Fe content. [•] Raman analysis shows the suppression of surface defects with Fe doping. [•] All prepared samples are ferromagnetic in nature at room temperature. [•] Prepared nanoparticles have intrinsic room temperature ferromagnetic property which allows its use in spintronic devices. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
