This paper presents a reflection on the relations of the female characters of Argenis y Poliarco with the power and shows the remarkable and unusual independence of some of them. Based on various passages of the play, this work will consider the technique with which the dramatist gives some women some privileges without cause at any time a violation of the laws of decorum and verisimilitude.
