Abstract: The author reflects on research related to farm animal, equine practice and companion animal published in the previous issued of the journal. She mentions some of these veterinary-based research including behaviour-based scale development for acute pain measurement in dogs and bluetongue virus spreading estimation. She also notes the difference of the previous and the existing research.
