Abstract

Highlights: [•] GnRH treatment of gonadotrope-derived cells causes remodeling of ribosome content. [•] Enrichment of mRNA in non-translating RNP complexes is associated with activation of EIF2AK3/PERK. [•] Enrichment of mRNA in active polyribosome complexes is associated with activation of ERK. [•] Dusp1 mRNA, a factor important for the regulatory feedback of ERK, is enriched in polyribosomes. [•] The mRNA binding protein ELAV1 binds the DUSP1 3′UTR and confers resistance to translational suppression induced by GNRH. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
