Abstract
- The article discusses the writing careers of novelists Vladimir Nabokov and Dorothy Parker in the mid-1950s. It claims that three weeks before the launching of Nabokov's novel titled "Lolita" in France, Parker published a story titled "Lolita" in "The New Yorker." Among the other works of Parker was the play "The Ladies of the Corridor." The opinion of Viking editor Pascal Covici on Nabokov's "Lolita" is also cited.
