A Tower of strength to support Glacier.

The authors look at the prospects of barley varieties added to the Recommended List. They note the potential of Tower winter barley variety to be a useful partner to the high-yielding Glacier. David Leaper of Openfield claims that Tower will add more choice to the feed market with its disease resistance profile. Also discussed are the Tetris variety from Syngenta with a rating of 8 for rhynchosporium and Cavalier from Limagrain approved for the northern region.
