Abstract

In view of the problem that the wheel bending fatigue tester is difficult to meet the requirements of national standard on dynamic loading accuracy due to the non-orthogonal error in measuring bending moment caused by sensor installation error, the effects of non-orthogonal error on the measurement accuracy of bending moment are analyzed. A model for correcting non-orthogonal error is established, which directly uses the real measured value to determine the correction parameter with related calculations, and a model for evaluating the correction method is also worked out. The results of theoretical analysis and test show that the correction method proposed is effective. The measurement errors of bending moment reduce from 4. 6% to 1% by using the correction method, which enhances the accuracy of wheel dynamic loading and meets the requirements of national standard on the bending moment loading accuracy of tester.
