Abstract

The article discusses leaked government documents released by former U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) contractor Edward J. Snowden which indicate that the NSA and Great Britain's Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) spied on more than 1000 targets, including heads of international aid organizations, foreign energy companies, and the Israeli government. Details on both governments' surveillance of email correspondence are included.
