Abstract
- The article discusses a 2010 murder-suicide in which Iranian musician Ali Akbar Mohammadi Rafie shot and killed three members of the Iranian band Yellow Dogs, before killing himself, with a semiautomatic rifle in their Brooklyn, New York home. Topics include the granting of political asylum to the Yellow Dogs' members, Rafie's mental state following his departure from the Iranian band Free Keys, and Yellow Dogs' involvement in "No One Knows About Persian Cats," a film about Iranian musicians.
