This paper describes the environmental systems on board a large passenger ships. Today, environmental problems are increasingly important and ship owners must apply the latest environmental technologies developed in compliance with MARPOL Convention requirements. Manufacturers of the ship's environmental equipment constantly develop new technologies and upgrade the existing ones to achieve a very high standard of environmental protection set by MARPOL Convention and by national regulations from certain countries. In this paper few ship's environmental systems have been described including ship's wastewater treatment system, sludge treatment system, food waste treatment system and finally ship's incinerator system which makes the large passenger ship an environmentally friendly vessel.
