The article discusses a paper published by Mort Webster, associate professor of engineering systems, at the journal "Nature Climate Change" which states the importance of evaluating the needs prior to investing in new energy infrastructure. It explains its importance in terms of the total dependence on abundant supplies of water of the present generating systems which can be affected by change in rainfall patterns due to climate change, that will cause drought and therefore, water shortage.
