Crónica latinoamericana: algunos apuntes sobre su estudio.

The present paper offers a brief overview of the main studies on Latin-American chronicles from the point of view of literary and cultural studies, with the purpose of setting some bases for its study in the twenty-first century. The objective is thus to make a contribution for the elaboration of a more complete genealogy of Latin-American chronicles. The second part of the paper discusses the role of chronicles in Latin-American culture and the way in which new perspectives can be opened in its study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
