Abstract

PeniciketalsA–C (1–3), three new spiroketalswith abenzo-fused 2,8-dioxabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane moiety, were isolated fromthe saline soil derived fungus Penicillium raistrichii. Their structures including absolute configurations were establishedby NMR, X-ray diffraction, and ECD calculations. Their cytotoxicitieswere tested against A549, HL-60, and K562 cell lines, and 1–3showed the selective effects onHL-60 cells with IC50values of 3.2, 6.7, and 4.5 μM,respectively.
