Abstract

The article looks at the designing of incinerators made by Walter Burley Griffin all over Australia. He developed incinerators owned by the Reverberatory Incinerator and Engineering Company, where the designs showed gravity waste feeding by upper level chutes to cut labour costs for burning waste. The 5 of the 13 incinerators designed by Griffin were preserved and converted as various facilities like a radio station and a theatre.
