Abstract

Highlights: [•] R3-MYBs involved in cell fate by interfering with MBW-complexes were examined in relation to anthocyanin accumulation. [•] In response to nitrogen depletion, expression of CPC and ETC3/CPL3 increased two and 9-fold, respectively. [•] CPC, but not ETC3/CPL3 or TRY negatively affected anthocyanin accumulation in response to nitrogen depletion. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
