The article presents a report on a conference on myth and mythologies in folk literature, held in Rauischholzhausen, Germany, from September 4-7, 2012. Topics of discussion included theories of myth developed by such authors as Roland Barthes, Wilhelm Mannhardt, and Wilhelm Gottlieb Beyer, the relationship between mythology and nationalism, and myths in popular culture and mass media.
