Abstract

Aurivillius phase (MnPr) co-doped CaBi2Nb2O9(CBN) piezoelectric ceramics were prepared using the conventional solid state method. The Curie-temperature (TC) of CBN-based ceramics decreased whereas the piezoelectric coefficient (d33) was improved with increasing of (MnPr) dopants. The experimental results showed that the (MnPr) ions could significantly improve the performance of CBN-based ceramics. 0.4%Mn + 1.0%Pr co-doped CBN ceramics had the best electric properties:d33=11.63 pC/N,kp= 7.4%,Qm= 4148,Kt= 22.4%,Np=2850 Hzm,Nt=2397 Hzm.
