Abstract

The article reports that the board of directors of banking company J. P. Morgan Chase & Co. increased chief executive James Dimon's compensation during 2013 to $20 million. In 2013 Morgan's stock modestly outgained the Standard & Poor's 500 index. Morgan also paid some $20 billion in legal costs and settlements during the year. Billionaire and Morgan shareholder Warren Buffett said he thought Dimon should have gotten more.
