Abstract

The article presents research on the role of Weibel-Palade body (WPB) exocytosis in the regulation of secretion from endothelial cells. Topics include research on how plasma membrane cholesterol affects secretory granule exocytosis and fusion pore dynamics; the use of amperometry to study WPB exocytosis; and the identification of serotonin (5-HT) immunoreactivity and VMAT1 expression.
