- Highlights the 60th general conference of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) which was held in Havana, Cuba, August 21-27, 1994. The situation in Cuba following the breakup of the Soviet Union; Discussion of the participants who could see from their hotel rooms the flight of some Cubans who were trying to reach Florida.
