Abstract

Highlights: [•] Other-regarding preference is studied in a self-questioning game via a synchronous update. [•] The preference of each individual influences its neighbors’ motion directly. [•] Cooperative level is remarkably promoted by increasing the fitness factor. [•] Ping-pong effect exists in proper parameter field. [•] We use the micro-pattern analysis to explain these experimental phenomenon. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
