Abstract

The article focuses on the role of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in addressing humanitarian crises by its international humanitarian law. Topics discussed include intrinsic limitations on an organization with international global mandate, advocacy work of ICRC that takes place away from the public limelight which leads to insufficient appreciation and decrease in independent humanitarian actions.
