Abstract

The author expresses his opinion regarding the priorities of college presidents and the academic concerns they delegate to academic administrators. He discusses college presidents involvement with fundraising, public relations, and governing boards, faculty authority of undergraduate curricula and teaching methods, and remarks on the disapproval expressed by faculty concerning presidential involvement in academic affairs.
