Soluble form of urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor as a diagnostic and prognostic marker in hematological patients with neutropenic fever.

A letter to the editor is presented in which the authors examine the use of a soluble urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor as a biomarker to diagnose patients suffering from infectious complications and neutropenic fever resulting from intense chemotherapy for hematological malignancies.
