Abstract
- The article explores the steps took by the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) in improving the quality of orthopaedic care. The AAOS "A Nation in Motion" campaign has helped attract how orthopaedic procedures help people lessen their pain and regain their mobility. The Value Project Team of AAOS released a series of papers which revealed how appropriate orthopaedic care led in cost savings to society and introduced a model to measure orthopaedic surgery's long-term value.
