Abstract
- The article discusses the growing field of public sociology and the important role played by sociologists in society as of 2014. It examines several reasons for a flourishing debate on public sociology, including market fundamentalism. The four ways of practicing sociology, such as professional, critical, public and policy, are also discussed.
