Abstract: The article focuses on the expedition on the ship R/V Viktor Buinitskii that was carried out from September to October 2012. The goal of the expedition was to map previously identified regions of anomalous gas yields in the Laptev Sea, Russia and to develop methods to quantify the volume of the releasing hydrocarbon gases.
