We are currently at a stage where cities play a fundamental role in territorial development and where the concept of Smart Cities now serves as an opportunity to improve the same. This article attempts to convey the idea that a Smart City should not just be about technological infrastructure, but should be a space open for dialogue and Public-Private Partnerships. It is difficult to create a rich economic ecosystem, but a city that manages to identify its challenges and convert these into opportunities may also be considered a "Smart City".
