Abstract

Highlights: [ • ] Study the effect of lignocellulose degradation products on Cryptococcus curvatus. [•] Furfural had the strongest inhibitory effect than any other tested compounds. [•] C. curvatus had its excellent performance on the inhibitor tolerance. [•] 10% (v/v) inoculum size was optimal for C. curvatus in the presence of inhibitors.
