Abstract

The article presents the case a 46 year-old Texan woman who acquired human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection through sexual contact with another woman. The couple reported having unprotected oral and vaginal contact and described their contact as at times rough. Other risk factors for this rare transmission of HIV are discussed, including a history of injection drug use (IDU).
