Abstract
- The article reports on the plan of the government of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to restart the idled Ikata Nuclear Power Station since the Fukushima accident in 2011. It states that the town of Ikata has suffered loss from plant-related tax revenue and jobs as the plant is one of the main drivers of the town's economy. It mentions that Ikata Mayor Kazuhiko Yamashita would accept the plant's resuming operations if government regulators proclaimed it safe.
