Abstract
- Studies the bottom water variability in the Samoa Passage, the primary channel through which lower circumpolar water (LCPW) flows through the Southern Ocean into the North Pacific. Hydrographic sections of the passage; Minimal signs of modified North Atlantic Deep Water (NADW) within northward flowing LCPW; Salinity characteristic of NADW; Fluctuation of strength of NADW signature over time.
