Analyzes the reaction pathway of the N(1')-methyl derivative of 2-(1-hydroxybenzyl)thiamin (HBzT). Rates and products of decomposition of MBzT; Rate of exchange of the C(2alpha) proton of MBzT; Biphasic rate of fragmentation of MBzT in deuterium oxide.
