Abstract
- Examines the development of preference for baby-featured teddy bears in young children to assess who is driving the evolution of the toy. Matching of sign stimuli that release nurturant behavior; Paradox of theory suggesting that young children exhibit a preference for objects that afford nurturing when they themselves require intensive nurture.
