Abstract
- The article discusses the archaeological study of early Chinese American communities. The author comments on how dozens of archaeological digs and collections are revealing information about the life of Chinese immigrants in the U.S., including information regarding their health, culture, and food customs. In addition, it is noted that several archaeological studies have focused on the experience of Chinese laborers who worked in railroad construction and other industries.
