An Efficient Synthesis of 2-Alkylthio- 5-phenylmethylidene-4H-imidazolin-4-ones.

2-Alkylthio-5-phenylmethylidene-4H-imidazolin-4-ones 5 were synthesized by S-alkylation of thioimidazolinones 4, which were obtained via cyclization of carbodiimides 2 with Na2S/HOAc.
