Abstract

The article examines the life and work of the architect Alexey Shchusev. Particular focus is given to his associations with Russian Constructivist architecture. Several of his buildings are also discussed including the Marfo-Mariinsky Convent in Moscow, Russia, the Kazan Railway Station and Lenin's Mausoleum.
