Evaluation of toxicological impact of cartap hydrochloride on some physiological activities of a non-heterocystous cyanobacterium Leptolyngbya foveolarum.

Highlights: [•] Leptolyngbya foveolarum tolerated cartap up to 80ppm. [•] Low dose (20ppm) of cartap stimulated growth, photosynthetic pigments, photosynthesis and respiration. [•] Higher dose (40 and 60ppm) of insecticide inhibited same parameters. [•] Nitrogen assimilation was affected in dose dependent manner by cartap.
