Abstract

The article discusses the difficulties in developing expertise in psychotherapy and proposes a model of outcome information usage as a means of developing expertise. The topics discussed include the definitions of expertise, barriers to achieving expertise, avoidance of hindsight bias during practice, and systematic use of client feedback for development of expertise.
