Abstract

My essay shows how Lebniz's defense of teleology can work as a solution to counteract both the Scholastics and the new philosophers' misuse of final causality. These are symmetrical misuses, that Leibniz argues he has overcome through his doctrine of the ‘two realms'. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
