Abstract

Highlights: [•] The titanate nanosheets (TNS) were synthesized by a short hydrothermal reaction time. [•] CdS decorated TNS were prepared via ion-exchange and in situ sulfuration process. [•] The composites show enhanced photocatalytic efficiency and stability. [•] Their catalytic activity is higher than that of the CdS/titanate nanotubes. [•] The quick migration of charge carriers in CdS/TNS increased the photoactivity. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
