Abstract
- The article focuses on the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in Japan on March 11, 2011. Topics discussed include the measurement of earthquakes using seismometers, carbon dating of deposits, and the oceanic crust involved in such earthquake. Also mentioned are the friction between converging plates that caused earthquakes, and the global positioning system (GPS) receivers in the country.
