Painter Byeon Wol-ryong, who was born to Korean parents in 1916 in Primorsky Krai in the Russian Far East, could draw hardly any attention more than two decades after his death. Regardless of where they live, Korean individuals who are contributing to their regional or national community need to be duly recognized as a respectable Korean.
