Abstract
- Reports that confidence in the efficacy of using antiretroviral drugs to treat HIV infection has grown as a result of the prolonged survival of those allocated to receive additional drug in comparative controlled trials. HIV as the only serious infectious disease for which antimicrobial treatment is delayed; Comparison of early and deferred treatments.
