Studies the brain during rapid-eye-movement (REM) sleep in order to understand its basis in the altered neurophysiology of REM. Recognition that all distinctive and pathological features of dreaming are organically determined; Assessment of mental states; Dreaming as a healthy psychosis; Activity of norepinephrine and serotonin inside the brain during sleep.
