Abstract

Reports on the medical case of an 11-year-old female who had lingual tonsil hypertrophy with difficult airway and uncontrollable bleeding in Japan. History of uncomplicated palatine tonsillectomy at age five; Presentation with dyspnea, sore throat, globus sensation, recurrent fever and sleep apnea; Complication of the airway management of lingual tonsil hypertrophy during and after surgery.
