'Dark Pools' Face New SEC Probe.

The article reports that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is investigating several trading venues known as dark pools. At issue are matters of disclosure, confidentiality, and fairness. A pool called LX operated by banking company Barclays PLC is among those being looked into by the SEC. In early June, 2014 the SEC charged the dark pool Liquidnet with making improper disclosures about some of its customers.
