SCAI/ACC/AHA Expert Consensus Document: 2014 Update on Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Without On-Site Surgical Backup.

An Expert Consensus Document published by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) which summarized the available data on the performance of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) without on-site surgery in the U.S. is presented. Topics covered include recommendations for the performance of PCI, best practice for facilities engaged in PCI without on-site surgery and recommendations for the future role of PCI without on-site surgery.
