Abstract: The article offers information regarding the Research Network on Language Teacher Education and Professional Development's (ReN's) Fifth National Symposium on Foreign Language Teacher Education and Development in China, which took place December 6-8, 2013 at the Guandong University of Foreign Studies in China. Topics include research papers presented on topics such as teacher identity, teacher culture, and teacher learning, local seminars and workshops for language teachers, and AILA2014.
