Abstract
- Presents the synthesis of the Wittig reagent [(diethoxyphosphinyl)methylidene]triphenylphosphorane using its phosphonium triflate salt. Treatment of the reagent with various aldehydes and an activated ketone; Formation of cis and trans isomers; Hydrogenation of alpha, beta-unsaturated esters.
